The MC-50 is a Manual Tool Changer designed with collaborative robots in mind. Collaborative robots feature safety functionality that allow them to work alongside humans. This means that manual tool changing is a common method to change out the robot’s end-of-arm tooling. This is especially prevelant in CNC machine tending where collaborative robots load/unload different types of parts. ATI wanted a product video that showed off the MC-50 in this real-world use case.
